Story

You love your job. Sure, there’s a lot of reports to submit, phone calls to make and fires to put out. But then there are days like today.

You pull on your WEARFIRST Dare to Venture Cargo Shorts with a 9 inch inseam and tie the hidden drawstring. That drawstring is what keeps these shorts around your waist even when you’re trekking through mangrove muck. 

Today you’re working on the mitigation bank. Your job is to see what – if any – effects that recent construction has had on the wildlife. That means you have to go a-venturing through the Everglades. 

You stow your essentials in your pockets. Bug repellant wipes get zipped in the back pocket. The  sunscreen and snake bite kit go in the two cargo pockets, and the lip balm in the zipper tech pocket. Finally, your report requires photo evidence, so you slip your phone into the 7.5 inch deep cell phone pocket for easy access. Yep. There’s no way it’s falling out of that on accident.

After your hike through not-so-accessible hammocks of the Everglades, you're so glad that the Dare to Venture is Stretch Micro Ripstop fabric. And you emerge from the swamp unscathed.
